Airsoft, Anyone?

Post by Red Hawk on Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:55 am

So, does anyone else here like airsoft? I don't really do the sport; I just like collecting the guns and shooting targets (bottles, plastic army men, etc.). So far I've got an MP5 and a Beretta (one of my favorite gun combinations).

EDIT: Here's my guns.

Yeah, the MP5 is my favorite submachine gun.

Anyways, I got a couple more: a C96 Mauser and M99 handgun.

Sorry for the double post, but I gots me another one! It's an electric M4, and it's really nice. I got it for $50, and it shoots real well. I'm not a big fan of the M4 (I like its grandfather gun more, the M16), but this one is pretty cool because it doesn't have the handle on the top, but a scope in its place. Anyways, I want to get an electric STG-77 next (like this one, but maybe cheaper; I've got a really low budget Wink).

I prefer the M4 to the M16 for it's lightweight kinda stature, with 80% cominality with the parts of an M16. Airsoft or not, I would have an M4, or a C8 (Canadian made M4).

I thought the C8 was a Canadian M16? Anyways, I like the M16 better because it's longer and slightly more accurate and just looks cooler. Wink It's been in American military service for over 40 years, too. I'm starting to like that STG-77 a lot, too. It's just a really cool looking gun.

C7 is like the M16, C8 is like the M4. The M16K uses .45 cal rounds, thus doing intense damage to unprotected flesh. That's my M16.

Ooohkay. Yeah, the M4 shoots a .227 caliber round that isn't quite as powerful as the M16's bullet. According to what I've seen, the M16 bullet bounces around inside a person's body instead of going straight through like the AK-47's round or other bullets.

Anyways, this should be in the other guns topic, so let's get back to airsoft. Wink

Well, since I don't really own any airsoft, the ones I would like to have would be an M4, a P90 and a FAMAS, with maybe a Remignton 870, if they have that in airsoft.

I gots me another one. It's a Steyr AUG, comes with a non-magnifying scope (interchangeable with sights), foregrip, 44-round magazine (waaay to low for a full-auto gun, but I'm trying to get a higher capacity one), and shoots about 280 FPS I think. The battery unfortunately doesn't last long, but it's still a really cool gun. I got it for $45 at a gun show my dad and I went to on Saturday.

Tongue Uh... pretty sure FPS is for "frames per second", you mean RPS?
Anywais, my brother has a pretty cool airsoft Luger, but since he's moved out I cant get any pictures. At least now he can't shoot me anymore

In the airsoft world, FPS means 'feet per second'. It means 'frames per second' when you're reffering to stop motion animation. Wink

I'm putting in an order at www.kapowwe.com for a couple more clips for my M9 Beretta and one of these:

It's a molded quickdraw holster for a real M9, but that website sells thim for airsoft guns. Cool, isn't it?

My order came today! The holster is awesome; my Beretta fits in it perfectly.
